Food Security and Nutrition Project Closure Event will be held in Tbilisi, at Expo Georgia, at 10:00, on September 14, 2017, organized by Oxfam Georgia within the framework of the EC-funded regional project titled “Improving Regional Food Security through National Strategies and Smallholder Production in the South Caucasus”.
The closure event is an opportunity for Oxfam Georgia to keep accountable with project’s stakeholders, by reviewing the project impact and outcomes as well as the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. The key part will be also to discuss how the results can be taken forward and work continued after the project is over. The closure event will bring together the FSN project team members, the Georgian Alliance on Agriculture and Rural Development (GAARD), state, non-state actors and donor organizations.
At the end of the ceremony, GAARD members will sign the updated Memorandum of Understanding, that once again will highlight the role of the alliance in developing joint policy advocacy in order to empower rural communities, particularly smallholder farmers, to reinforce their capacities for representing their interests in the policy development and its implementation process.
